A LITTLE CARE GOES A LONG WAY

Hate seeing this in your bird bath?

Keep an eye on what builds up between water changes. A copper leaf is an addition to your routine, not a replacement for cleaning.

AND WHEN THE TEMPERATURE DROPS…

Ice needs its own solution.

A clean basin can still freeze. Prepare a suitable bird-bath heater, check water levels and follow the heater's instructions.

GOOD TO KNOW

A few questions before you choose.

Everyday water care

How do I use the copper leaf?

Start with a clean bird bath. Lay the leaf flat in fresh water, keep it submerged and continue regular water changes and cleaning. Rinse the leaf when you clean the basin.

Which bird baths can I use it in?

Choose a suitable nonmetal basin with room for the 10.4 × 10 cm insert. Avoid direct contact with metal basins or damaged coatings. Check your basin's care instructions.

Does it replace cleaning?

No. The leaf does not remove bird droppings, leaves or other debris. Change water every day or two, sooner when dirty, and clean the basin regularly.

Winter freeze protection

Will the copper leaf stop water from freezing?

No. The copper leaf does not produce heat. Freeze protection requires a suitable bird-bath heater purchased separately, used according to its temperature and installation instructions.

Is the heater shown in the photos included?

No. You are buying the selected number of copper leaves only. The winter picture illustrates a possible setup with a separately purchased heater; the bird bath and heater are not included.

What should I check before using a heater?

Check that the heater is suitable for your basin material, water depth and local temperatures. Follow its instructions, including any restrictions on other objects in the water, and use a properly protected outdoor power supply.

Make room for more garden moments.
